Why Hope Matters

Hope provides a positive outlook. So, it gives us a big reason to keep moving forward. Having this feeling is important because it helps contribute to our well-being. Life is not easy; I think we can all agree to that. We constantly battle external and internal issues that sometimes leave us feeling helpless. In other words, hope protects us from developing depression or having suicidal thoughts. It allows us to perceive things in a healthy manner.

Psychology tells us that hope allows us to process negativity that seems unsurmountable. When faced with loss, a disease process, job woes, you name it, hope provides comfort and a sense of warmth that better days are ahead. Having hope is not easy, so we must train our minds. Having a sense of hope is a choice.

We must remind ourselves that bad things happen to all of us and impact us, but we choose how we react to them. God gave us a gift, and that is the gift of life. He gave us the capability to have faith and a sense of hope. You must believe it even if you can’t see or feel it. Choose to have it anyway. I choose to have an abundance of hope because I believe in the powerful message it holds. It holds FREEDOM, freedom to not be held captive by darkness.

It is important to note that hope isn’t about crossing your fingers and wishing for the best. It is more than that. Expect great things from the life God gave you! You see, faith is heavily intertwined with hope. You can’t have one without the other. Hope is an essential part of faith.

Faith is confidence in the word of God. When you reference the future, you can call on hope. Hope is faith in the future. This allows us to believe that with GOD, all things all possible. It’s true; MAKE THE CHOICE TODAY TO LIVE A LIFE FULL OF ABUNDANCE BY LIVING THROUGH HOPE AND FAITH.
