How to be Successful

The key to being successful lies within you. The moment that you realize that you will be making your first step forward. So many people today blame everyone else for their failures and fail to look within. When the same thing keeps happening, you have to start asking yourself, “is it me.”  The answer is “YES!”

Stop comparing yourself to others because it’s a game you will never win. Break the cycle; otherwise, you will continue to be bogged down with thoughts of jealousy which only drains your mental energy. Start realizing we will never have complete equality because God created us all differently. Some will start with less, and others will begin with more, and that’s just life. For example, you may be born with dyslexia. Does it set you back?? It can, but there are ways to overcome that disability. Take, for example, Charles Swab, Elon Musk, Richard Branson, and the list goes on. I had trouble reading and comprehending when I was a young lad. I hated every moment because I viewed myself as stupid and was very embarrassed. I was always jealous of those with natural intelligence, what I would give to be considered one of them.

It took time to realize that I couldn’t change what God gave me. However, you can embrace the idea that you can change how you view your shortcomings. This is how most overcome these feelings of suppression. Never doubt your capabilities. You may not be a rockstar or a tech guru but look to the strengths that God gave you. For me, God gave me a special gift of helping others who need medical help. Be okay with who you are. Be you for you. I don’t have to be a CEO or have a position of authority to be successful. This was what I thought success was and boy was I wrong.

So, get out of your way and start putting yourself in a position to create the most incredible life – happiness. Success is about being happy with you and not about what everyone else is doing with their lives and who they think you should be. Look at your potential and gifts. These are your strengths that you can leverage. Please take advantage of them and don’t lose your opportunity to achieve your full potential simply because you can’t see what God gave you.
